Recap

Travelled to Grotto of New Beginnings to meet Brine for the first time. She was surprisingly friendly, and gave us all drinks from the Tiki bar. We did some chores for Brine and were able to scry Yassandra in Loomlurch. We made a deal with Brine saying we would bring Portrait of Yass and Brine's Pickling Jar to Brine, in exchange for her letting us into Threadmere, and helping us through the Evermaze. To head to Threadmere we met Jingle Jangle, who sent us on a quest to get the key back from a troll who had eaten it - we gave it laxatives and retrieved the key. Jingle Jangle let us through into Threadmere.

Session 31 - 27.6.2025

We are in the middle of a forest in Threadmere. (Rachel is away, Fin has swamp fever)

Beet scries Yassandra without her knowledge:

Ellywick speaks to an Ent (Smugberry)

Ivy pissed off the Ent, so we ran away...

towards the Lost Boys

We see a fire around dusk

we send Pumpernickel in as a spy
cauldron simmering above flames
6 inch tall Sentient Mushroom - is sticking his head in a frying pan

We speak to the mushroom person - is called Mussolini

he is trying to cook himself
on the direction of his 'friend' - Croaker (looks like a traveller)

When Croaker returns with axe and firewood we all use aliases:

Croaker tries to eat Mussolini

Beet casts hold person
Ellywick casts Friend

Croaker lives in Loomlurch

says there are lots of children there that Yassandra stole

Ellywick put Mussolini in a terrarium

While we slept, Croaker left

We carry on our journey the next morning

find mushrooms around a tree
eldercaps - looks like warty nose, smells like old people - when consumed raw, you look older

We send Pumpernickel and Ivy's silver messenger raven to scout out the hold person in the giant tree tower.

We continue and find a clearing with young children

there is a treehouse in the branches

Will has a homemade blanket cloak and a wooden sword

Familiars - think the lost boys are actually the dogs.

Ivy heats up her dagger and cuts the cobweb

it emits a high pitch moan

We free Wendy from the webs (still effected by the hold person though)

Beet releases her
her stomach gives way - something very wrong - mottled grey with red veins
no pupils, glossy white eyes
spiders crawl out of her mouth

Summary

We are in the middle of a forest in Threadmere. We meet an Ent named Smugberry, though Ivy pisses him off so we run away. We come across Mussolini, a mushroom person, trying to cook himself, and rescue him from Croaker. We meet the Lost Boys, who turn out to be dogs, and Peter says that Wendy has been taken by Yassandra. We scope out the tree, and find Wendy, free her but find out she is dead and filled with spiders.
