The Eruption of Black Mountain in 630PU was a cataclysmic event that shook the entire continent. When a Red Dragon made its lair inside the dormant volcano, it unknowingly awakened a powerful fire elemental. In a display of power, the elemental caused the volcano to erupt, spewing ash and lava across Lower Ayderon. The skies darkened as ash clouds spread, and the Blackwater Lake began to boil. The eruption wreaked havoc across the region until a group of adventurers defeated the fire elemental, returning the mountain to dormancy. However, the eruption left lasting scars on the land, and the legend persists that a portal to the Plane of Fire still exists within the volcano's depths.
